On January 3rd (2021), the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) released an upgrade to Revenue Online, the Department’s free tax filing and e-services portal.

The Revenue Online portal is a valuable tool in helping taxpayers and tax professionals file Colorado state taxes and manage their tax accounts. Its latest version utilizes taxpayer feedback to improve and enhance the user experience. Some of the improvements include:

  • Streamlining filing processes to simplify filing taxes for many tax types
  • Adding new functionality like search and help features
  • Enhancing the user experience so that the portal is easier to use
  • Making Revenue Online mobile responsive, so that it can be viewed on most devices

Both taxpayers and tax professionals can use Revenue Online to file tax returns for most of the state tax types. Click the button below to visit Revenue Online now.

Note: For sale tax return filing and for some use tax filing, the new Colorado DOR’s SUTS one-stop portal is available. This simplifies filing when multiple state-collected or home-rule jurisdictions are involved. Information is entered on one spreadsheet instead of filing individual returns by Branch/ site ID and separately with each home-rule city.

SUTS allows you to file with all State-collected jurisdictions and all participating Home Rule jurisdictions.  More Home-Rule Cities are working on participating.  Eventually all will likely participate.
